Snowdonia Easter Fun 2016

Happy Easter holidays! We hope the Easter bunny paid you a visit over the weekend and left you lots and lots of chocolate treats. Are you a chocolate scoffer and you eat it all in one go, or do you savour the treats and make them last for weeks?

With more than a week left of the Easter school holidays we thought we’d round up the very best of the region’s Easter events, so whether you’re visiting or you live here, you’ll find lots of fun activities that’ll entertain the kids – little ones or large ones! Here’s our Snowdonia Easter Fun 2016 guide….

  • to 31st March, Pwllheli – Family Films – Family Films including “Alvin & the Chipmunks: The Road Chip” and “Kung Fu Panda” Call

  • 6-9th April, Llanberis – Celtic Fayre – the popular Celtic Fayre returns to the Electric Mountain venue. See here
  • 2-3rd April, across Wales – Weekend of Adventure – this weekend is the Visit Wales Weekend of Adventure, so look out for events and activities taking place across Wales. Find your epic….. See here
  • 2-8th April, Pwllheli – RYA British Youth Sailing Championships, at Pwllheli Marina. Visit the webpage for more information.
  • 31st March and 7th April, Penrhyn Castle, near Bangor – Castle Fun Day at Penrhyn Castle. Games on the lawn, storytelling, crafts and fun trails for explorers of all ages. See here for more details from the National Trust.
  • 9th April, Portmeirion – The 6th Trail – a 6km race through the secret woodland, tracks and beaches of the magical Portmeirion village. See here for more details.
  • 16th April, Blaenau Ffestiniog – Ras y Moelwyn – this popular fell running race returns again in 2016. You can find more details on the event Facebook page (here).
  • 16th April, Oakeley Arms – Real Ale Trail – we’re thrilled to be part of this exciting Ale Trail. Your chance to discover some of the finest real ale pubs in the region with a bus linking all of them! More information here
  • 16th April, Ffestiniog Railway, Porthmadog – The Snowdonian – An 80 mile round trip across the whole of the Ffestiniog Railway! Visit the website for more details.
