Happy Bank Holiday!
Gosh, it’s come around quick this year hasn’t it? It’s nearly time for the lovely, summer bank holiday. Well, we say lovely…. it’s very lovely to have a day off but if the weather reports are anything to go by, it doesn’t look as if it will be a lovely sunny day. Quite the opposite in fact with rain, wind and a chilly feel to the air all predicted. Just another bank holiday in Britain then really?!
But, worry not, and don’t let the weather stop your fun! There are loads of great Snowdonia Bank Holiday events going on across the region over the weekend, so you’ll definitely find something fun to do. Here’s our pick of the best……
- Alice the Musical at Caernarfon Castle Kids will love this musical madcap journey with Alice and all her friends from the classic tales, all set in the outdoor splendour of Caernarfon Castle. Bring a brolly though!! August 23rd.
- The Dinas Mawddwy Show – this annual village show takes place on the 23rd August.
- Fun in the Park at Plas Tan y Bwlch – if you’re travelling on the Ffestiniog Railway this Monday then alight at Tan y Bwlch station for a fun, old-fashioned tea party, complete with jelly, sandwiches, games, colouring and nature trails. Monday 25th August
- Footplate Rides – another great event from the Ffestiniog Railway. Head to the station at Porthmadog, and here’s your chance to ride at the front of the train! Friday 22nd August
- Art Workshops at Oriel Glyn y Weddw, Llanbedrog – a photography workshop for children from 4 years old. Friday August 22nd.
- Copperfest Festival – this fun festival of music and culture is on over three days at Amlwch on Anglesey. There’ll be something for the whole family, including story telling, bouncy castles and more. August 22nd – 24th
