Prince William at the Anglesey Show!

August 5th, 2013

A Royal appearance

Royal fever will hit fever pitch on Anglesey next week, as Prince William is all set to attend the famous Anglesey Show on the island. The historic agricultural show celebrates it’s 126th show this year; it’s gone from strength to strength since the first Anglesey Show took place in 1887.

Prince William’s appearance at the Anglesey Show will be the first time a royal has attended, and the show’s organisers are said to be very excited about their guest. Prince William, and more recently his wife Catherine Middleton, have made Anglesey their home since they got married in 2011 because the prince was stationed at RAF Valley on the island during his post as an RAF Search & Rescue pilot.

However, as his posting is soon to come to an end and the couple will be leaving the island, it is thought that William would like to thank the people of Anglesey for their welcome, hospitality and kindness that they’ve shown to himself and Kate, and their newborn son Prince George.

The Anglesey Show takes place on August 13th and 14th at the Anglesey Agricultural Showground – a 160 acre venue with over 350 trade stands and a whole host of agricultural competitions and events. 55,000 visitors are expected, so it’s not one to be missed. Prince William will be appearing on the 14th August.
