Hands up who’s excited about the weekend? Did I just hear you say “what’s happening at the weekend”?? Well, if you don’t know, you’re in for a good surprise….. and if you do know, then you can join us in some of the giddyness.

Of course! It’s time for the RBS 6 Nations 2015 championship. It all kicks off tomorrow evening with a corker of a game – Wales v England. These old rivals have met 125 times before, with England winning 57 games, and Wales winning 56 (along with 12 draws….), so Wales have got a game to win to even up the scores!

And a confident Wales coach Warren Gatland has already revealed his team….. so let’s have a look at some of Wales’ star players:

• Sam Warburton – Wales’ captain will win his 50th cap against England with tomorrow’s game. The 26 year old was born in Cardiff and now plays for the Cardiff Blues team.

• George North – Although George was born in England, his family returned to his mother’s native Anglesey when he was two years old and he spent his childhood there. He currently plays for Northampton Saints.
• Richard Hibbard – Wales’ 31 year old hooker was born in Neath, and began his rugby career in school before making his name with the Ospreys team. He played his first cap for Wales against Argentina in 2006.

• Leigh Halfpenny – Wales team veteran was born near Swansea in 1988. The fullback was signed as a youth to the Ospreys in 2005 before moving to the Cardiff Blues a few years later. He now plays for French team Toulon. Halfpenny made his international debut for Wales in 2008 aged just 19.
• Tangaki Taulupe “Toby” Faletau – Tongan born Toby moved to Wales at seven years old when his father, also an international rugby player, joined Ebbw Vale Rugby Club, Toby has played for Wales since June 2011 when he was called up against the Barbarians. A back row forward, he currently plays for the Newport Gwent Dragons.

• Alex Cuthbert – Although Alex was born just over the Welsh border in Gloucester, this 24 year old winger plays for Wales because his mother was born in the Northern town of Wrexham. He currently plays for the Cardiff Blues team.

So, all of these Welsh heroes (and more….) will be gracing the field on Friday evening. Come on boys, you can do it again for us!!
