Come on Cymru

Our regular blog readers, not to mention our regular customers, will know that here at the Oakeley Arms we are big rugby fans, so we are very excited that this weekend heralds the start of the 2104 Rugby Autumn Internationals here in the UK.

Over the next month, the Welsh team will play four different matches against rival international teams, kicking off with Australia on Saturday. The 2014 Rugby Autumn Internationals will see “giants” of world rugby competing against each other. Teams from the 6 Nations Championships (Wales, England, Ireland, Scotland, France and Italy) take on teams from The Rugby Championship – a similar competition to the 6 Nations that encompasses teams from the Southern Hemisphere – Australia, New Zealand, Argentina and South Africa.

All of Wales’ games in the 2014 Rugby Autumn Internationals are at the Millennium Stadium, so their army of supporters and fans will be able to cheer them on. Sadly at last year’s meeting with Australia, Wales lost by 4 little points, so this year, the Welsh dragons will be looking to secure a win against their antipodean rivals.

All of Wales’ fixtures are below:

• Wales v Australia – Saturday 8th November. KO 14:30 (Millennium Stadium)
• Wales v Fiji – Saturday 15th November. KO 14:30 (Millennium Stadium)
• Wales v New Zealand – Saturday 22nd November. KO 17:30 (Millennium Stadium)
• Wales v South Africa – Saturday 29th November. KO 14:30 (Millennium Stadium)
