So, the battle for the Welsh International Rugby team against the mighty New Zealand All Blacks continues…… sadly, the red dragons didn’t storm home with a win at the weekend, so the wait to beat the All Blacks rumbles on. We’ll get you next time!!

But we mustn’t dwell on it as this weekend our attentions turn to the next game of the Autumn Internationals – Wales v South Africa. This is another tough team for us to beat – in 29 matches, Wales have only one won of them and drawn one, with South Africa beating us a whopping 27 times. So let’s not make it a 28th!

The South African International Rugby Union team are known as the Springboks, after a native animal which looks like a small deer. The Springboks have been playing international rugby for over 100 years, since 1891, when they played their first test match against a touring team from Britain. Since then, and despite political tensions, the team have become one of the best in the world…… They won the Rugby World Cup in 1995 and again in 2007, and are currently ranked as #2 in the world, second only to the All Blacks.

So, it’s going to be a tough match at the Millennium Stadium this weekend, but hopefully not an impossible one! Come on Cymru, we’re behind you all the way!
