Wales v Scotland
March 14th, 2014
Battle of the Celts
So, the time has come around again. Tomorrow will be Wales’ very last match of the 2014 RBS 6 Nations Championships, against fellow Celtic team Scotland. Here at the Oakeley Arms we’ll be sad, as always, to see the end of the championship. It’s a great time of year for us when we can celebrate being Welsh and welcoming friends and fans into the Oakeley bar to cheer along with us.
It’s been a mixed year for the Welsh team, with a promising start against Italy soon displaced by a disappointing result against the mighty Irish side. We then had a stormer of a match against France, beating them by a whopping 21 points. Sadly, the winning streak wasn’t to continue, and we were defeated by England at Twickenham last weekend.
So it doesn’t look like the RBS 6 Nations trophy will be coming back to Cardiff at the weekend, but hey, we can loan it out for a year! We’re pretty sure it’ll be coming home again next year! But in the meantime, there’s one final game to play, and we’re keeping all fingers crossed for a great win to finish the championship off in style. Wales v Scotland at the Millennium Stadium is sure to be a great game.
Come and join us here at the Oakeley Arms hotel in Snowdonia for the Wales v Scotland game. There’ll be a great atmosphere, brilliant company, delicious ales and of course the usual chilli or curry straight from our kitchen at half time. See you tomorrow!
Wales v Scotland. Millennium Stadium, Cardiff. Saturday 15th March. Kick off 14:45
