Wales v France
February 21st, 2014
Rugby Rugby
The time of the RBS Six Nations Rugby Championships is one of our favourite times of year here at the Oakeley Arms; we love nothing more than an exciting game, cheering on our home nation!
This year, the Welsh boys are fighting to keep hold of the trophy – they were last year’s triumphant winners. The boys got off to a flying start with a victory against Italy, but they’ve got some points to claw back this weekend after their dismal defeat by Ireland at the last game.
So, this Friday is Wales v France, taking place at the Millennium Stadium. There’ll be no shortage of support for the Welsh team, both at the stadium and across the country. It’s all set to be a close call – Wales and France have met 92 times, and Wales have won 45 matches, while France have been victorious 44 times. However France are on top form this competition – they’ve won every game so far (against Italy, England and Scotland).
Of course, we’ll be showing the game here at the Oakeley Arms bar, and there will be the usual bowl of curry or chilli for everyone at half time.
So come and join us and cheer on the boys in red! They’re going to need our support!!
Wales v France, Friday 21st February, kick off 20:00, Millennium Stadium Cardiff.
