Well, are you ready for some rugby??? Finally, it’s that time of year again – almost the start of the RBS Six Nations 2016, and we are pretty excited! We know we bang on about it all the time, but we just love the energy, excitement, passion and drama of a good rugby match. Even more so if Wales win of course, haha!

What is often referred to as Rugby’s greatest championship kicks off this weekend. The RBS Six Nations is one of the oldest rugby competitions in the world – it was first played in 1883 as the Home Nations Championship and was the first international rugby tournament. In 1940, the competition was re-named as the 5 Nations so it could include all the home nations as well as France. In 2000 Italy was welcomed into the tournament and it was renamed the 6 Nations.

The tournament starts this Sunday, and Wales have the first game – against old Celtic rivals Ireland. We won’t be playing at home, so it’s bound to be a tough game, although after Ireland walked away with the 2015 RBS Six Nations trophy, Wales have got a point to prove, so hopefully we’ll be on fighting form.

The final team has recently been announced, and includes legends such as Luke Charteris, Alex Cuthbert, Gethin Jenkins, Sam Warburton, George North and Alun Wyn Jones.

It’ll be a tough game, but we’ve got every faith in our wonderful team! Good luck boys, and we absolutely can’t wait for it to start…. Less than four little days to go!
