Fans of the Oakeley Arms Facebook page will know that we had a very special visitor here with us last week. None other than charismatic funny-man Leigh Francis, who is more commonly known as his comedy persona Keith Lemon.

Keith Lemon, who presents the famous ITV show Through the Keyhole stayed with us here while filming for the show at the nearby house of Russell Grant, celebrity astrologer, Strictly star and friend of the Oakeley Arms.

Fans popped in to meet Keith, and he happily greeted them, posed for pictures and signed autographs. We kept him pretty busy but we think he enjoyed our Welsh hospitality.

Keith, who’s real name is Leigh Francis is one of the UK’s finest comedians. He’s most well known for his television series Bo Selecta, where he portrayed a host of celebrities by wearing comical face masks to imitate them. His impersonation of singer Craig David is well remembered by many of us here!

Leigh Francis is a proud Yorkshireman, but seemed happy to spend time in Wales while filming, and we were very pleased that the Snowdonia sunshine made an appearance especially for him! We’re excited to see the finished results of the filming when it’s aired on ITV later this year.
