Earlier in the week on the Oakeley blog we featured an exciting new underground trampoline adventure opening in nearby Blaenau Ffestiniog.

The Bounce Below trampolines are just the latest in a line of fantastic adventure and adrenalin themed attractions to open up in North Wales, and all this talk of adventure got us to thinking that we are fast becoming the adventure capital of the UK. So, to celebrate our adventurous side, here’s our list of the best adventure and adrenalin things to do when you visit Snowdonia……

• Zip World – almost needs no mention now, it’s so popular! These record-breaking zip wires will fly you across a stunning disused quarry at speeds of 70mph! Zip World has also opened at a second location in Blaenau Ffestiniog where you can zip across the haunting landscape of the 19th century mining revolution.
• Go Below – if underground adventures float your boat, then Go Below is the ultimate! Taking you to new depths under the famous mountains of Snowdonia, rather than to the top of them, Go Below offer caving, abseiling and other fab underground activities.
• National White Water Centre – you can enjoy a heart-thumping white water rafting experience on one of the UK’s best rivers for it, just outside the town of Bala in North Wales. Hold on to your paddles!
• Psyched Adventures – discover the real Snowdonia with this company who offer incredible adventures on both land and sea, from coasteering to kayaking and wild camping to scrambling. Psyched Adventures will psyche you up for an awesome adventure in the wilderness.
• Antur Stiniog – another adventure attraction for Blaenau Ffestiniog, but this time of the two-wheeled variety! These clever mountain bike trails offer stunning off-road mountain biking along one of the most historic landscapes in the area – disused slate tips and heaps. It’s not for the faint-hearted, but it is loads of fun!
• Rib Ride – and if you fancy a splash or two, then why not try a fantastic rib boat adventure off the Anglesey coast?
• Zorb Bala – if the thought of being fastened to the inside of a giant plastic ball and thrown down a hill sounds like the adrenalin shot for you, then you’ll love Planet Zorb near Bala, which promises to do just that!

There’s plenty to do here in Snowdonia, so if you’re an adrenalin junkie you’re going to love adventure North Wales!
