 Thanks to increased water standards and boosted beach facilities, Wales is the proud owner of 44 Blue Flag beaches. The Blue Flag programme is run by the global organisation FEE (the Foundation for Environmental Education) and these prestigious awards are given to beaches across the world that meet a strict criteria for water quality, safety, facilities, environmental awareness and general management. So when you see a Welsh Blue Flag beach this summer, you can be sure that you’re at one of the world’s finest beaches.
