The weather may not have been up to much these past few days in Snowdonia but we have been assured that the sunshine will be back for the long bank holiday weekend! A sunny summer bank holiday, imagine that! But we can certainly dream, and plan for a gloriously hot and sunny weekend.
But, just what to do with a lovely hot summer weekend? Here in Snowdonia there are hundreds of options for days out – attractions, museums, heritage sites, beaches, mountains and parks. But, if you fancy adding a little adventure to your weekend, then look no further than the glorious area of Snowdonia and all it has to offer.

- Fly through the air at Zip World – Zip World is fast becoming one of North Wales’ most sought after days out, thanks to it’s record breaking zip wires. - Deeper Underground – but if it’s the dark and secretive underground world that is more your thing then you’ll love the Bounce Below experience. This awesome adventure is set deep underground in a disused slate cavern, and is a series of enormous trampolines, all joined together by slides and nets. Wow! More information here
- Surfing in Snowdonia – you don’t need the right wind conditions or even a trip to the coast for this awesome surfing experience. Surf Snowdonia is the world’s first commercial artificial surfing lake and the UK’s only artificial surfing lake. Have an incredible surfing experience here, and it’s suitable for all abilities. - Climb any mountain – if you’re after a more traditional type of adventure then why not head into the hills and mountains that Snowdonia is famous for and tackle on of the beautiful peaks? Of course there’s Snowdon, but there are tens of other quieter peaks to explore. Try Cadair Idris, Cnicht, the Moelwyns, Siabod or the Carneddau.
