Well, that’s it! 2014 is pretty much done. How was it for you? A year to remember? A year to forget? Highs and lows, ups and downs, bad and good. Whatever 2014 brought, we are pretty excited about the start of a new year. It’s a chance to dust off the cobwebs, make some resolutions (and NOT brek them by Jan 4th…..) and invite a fresh start into your home and working life.

And 2015 is set to be a good year because there’s loads of fun stuff happening, not just here at the Oakeley, but all around the world! 2015 is the year when….

• Wales will try to win back the title of RBS 6 Nations Champions (oh yes!)
• And the Rugby World Cup will take place in September (c’mon Cymru!)
• The Eurasion Union will come into force on January 1st – making an economic and political union between Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
• The Golf Masters will be held in the USA
• The 80th anniversary of the birth of Elvis Presley will be celebrated. He was born on the 8th Jan 1935
• In April, Nasa’s spacecraft Dawn (launched 2007) is expected to arrive on the planet Ceres (a dwarf planet between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter)
• The Women’s Football World Cup will take place in Canada in June
• In May, celebrations will take place across the country to commemorate the 70th anniversary of VE day at the end of WWII
• it’ll be J.K. Rowling’s 50th birthday
