Well, it’s that time of year again. Chestnuts are roasting, the tree is decorated, the fizz is in the fridge and Santa’s on his way. Ladies and gentlemen, just one little sleep remains between us and Christmas Day!

Here at the Oakeley Arms we’re pretty excited about the festivities this year, but we would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all our customer and guests, both old and new, who support us – we wouldn’t be here without you, and we hope your visits to us here give you as much pleasure as they do us.

Thanks too to all our wonderful staff, and a huge Happy Christmas to all our friends and family. And thanks to you, dear blog reader, for sticking with us this year as we’ve covered everything from new food to festivals, river water to rugby and poets to pumpkins. Here’s hoping that 2015 is just as fun-filled and varied.
